Unfortunatley for you, this just isn't a very visually appealing photo to look at. It fits the challenge well, but I don't much care for closeups of bugs anyway, except the cute ones! :)

I like that naturalness of the image. The DoF and the desat of the backround set off the bugs nicely. I think it could have been improved with less harsh of a glare and better cmopostion, but still good.

I think this photo is very well captured. I would have used a black frame to contain the image more. I believe the white frame detracts from the light colored walkway they are standing on.

Kudo's in getting the red so nicely! It is sometimes difficult to get the red in the intention as would be seen in normal circumstance, and it tends to over power the shot. In this case it tends to draw my eye right in to the child and then up to the mother.

I love the looks on the faces. A very nice candid shot. Very good DOF. And the police car in the background speaks to the part of the title to me of "Inner City". A lot of police cars and cruisers are seen constantly patroling the inner city areas and it adds greatly to the caption.

All in all, a very good image and a beautiful candid. Great work!
