flower_2by rileyComment by dahlin: Excellent choice of background for the subject. The macro shot and positioning of the petals makes me think the flower is roaring to be heard, or perhaps sadly losing the battle to hang onto its petals. I like that contrast in representation. |

Compositionally, this rocks. I love the bold bands of color. But I agree with Paul. I'd like to see just a tad more contrast. |

sunflowers_1by rileyComment by roz: this is such an excellent sunflower shot .. love all the bright colours and the balance of the flowers in the lower part of the image and the cloudy sky at the top .. sunflowers .. they are a fantastic looking flower especially in quantity like this .. :) |
