Comment by Gatorguy:
Your image certainly fits the challenge, but it doesn't do anything for me interest wise. I think because all the lines are vertical and all carry the same weight - my eyes are not really led into the photo, and really don't have much reason to stay there long. I would suggest being more creative in the angles or perspective that you choose. Try to show these common object in a not so common way. 5

Pretty good. Photo is weel done technically, but the shot seems a bit too staged unnecessarily. Still probably a top 20% shot though. ...my two pennies.

Comment by L2:
Excellent composition, good use of descending heights to create a visual line, good use of the studs for framing effect.

Comment by Arcanist:
Although alone the tools don't say or imply technology to me, together and against the background of aged wood, they seem to fit into a 'low tech' arena, reminding me of waterwheels, old wagons and thusly low tech. I like the crop of the shovel especially as it somehow lends to the subtracting nature of the rest of the line. Wondering what the whole would have looked like if you shot the shovel in the center, implying an arrow or triangular shape between the uprights. Well centered. The lower left item that seems to have been cloned out is very distracting, like a burnt piece of wood that should have been removed first. There also seems to be a halo of oversharpening on the garden claw but not so much that it in a larger print it would be distracting. I like this interpretation of the challenge and give high marks.

I like the soft, misty focus that you have used here. Looks like an ad from an Eddie Bauer catalog.

Sure soft focus makes it more interesting but i would used b&w or half desaturation for better effect.

I like everything about the photo, lighting, color, texture, EXCEPT that it looks staged.

Comment by bananashay:
Good composition. The light's a little bright, though I'm guessing it's from a window so you don't have too much control. Maybe a translucent curtain to eliminate a bit of the glow? This also looks kinda cool in two-tone, gives it a rustic type feel.
