daisy_main.jpgby nordicComment by Katspetkat: That's a really cool shot. How did you make the border go under the flower? Or is it just blending with the flower? |

window to the pastby nordicComment by nordic: Thanks for the comments and votes - I am very pleased to have been voted so high...
These are the ruins of a 15th century manor house in a village called Minster Lovell in Oxfordshire at sunrise one lovelly Sunday morning. It was the only chance to get out and take the shot I wanted and i agree a blue sky would have been a great bonus. The shot was actually very difficult to take as I had to hold the camera above head height and use the monitor to frame the picture. The blurred foreground of the window was intended as I wanted the ruins as the main subject and the frame to have less importance. Difficult I felt with such darkness on the side I was standing. Still I was very pleased with the shot.

window to the pastby nordicComment by obstetrify: I take it that this was shot through the aperture in a ruined wall. I suppose if it was a window once, it still is. Nicely framed. |

window to the pastby nordicComment by sbrandt: Very nice! Would it have been possible to catch the sun on the side facing you? Might have added a little to the photo. |
