I think every element is important here. Aside from the shades of red, the shadows have impact compositionally and contextually. And I like the echoed circles from the fruit in the bag, to the bag itself, to the shadow of subject's head, to the manhole cover, to the fire truck wheel. They're unifying elements that might work only on a subconscious level until noticed or pointed out. Terrific!

I also thought of a book cover right away. the composition is dynamic and engaging. the word is an important part of the composition. It would be an interesting idea to come up with photos that are off balance and then complete the composition with text.

I feel there is too much red. Three subjects with clashing colors. What is the primary subject? What story are you telling? My eye goes to the bag, then to the other red objects, and the photo remains unresolved. If the bag is the focal point, I think the impact would be greater if the fire engine and jacket were desaturated.

Definitely a cover for a spy novel. Minimalism to the nth degree.

I like how red this is (coat and cover included), and the shadows elevating it to the next level up.

Oh, wow, great start. I like how the author's figure, with the bag, hat and the Ricoh, is making an impression.

What I like here is the vibrant chord of color. Along with red is orange and yellow, and the wine dark red of the coat as a bass note. The shadows of the people and the light post with its signs are strong, the background chorus in counterpoint.

Do not omit your shadow. Here it makes the photo. I like this a lot also.
For my taste I would not like to see the red too much enhanced to the point of de-saturating the rest. You achieved the perfect balance so that's why they make so much impact.

Interesting viewpoint, kind of makes you wonder what's in her bags. The red adds a nice touch.
