Comment by MichaelC:
The old lady crossing towards her looked strangely familiar. As she drew alongside she suddenly thrust a bag into Nadine's arms and without saying a word ran off down the street abandoning her trolley. Nadine still wondering what just happened looked inside the bag to find an old sports almanac.

Ah, I see what you were capturing to show us! Truly there are only two main subjects we need to be aware of in this shot. The hunched over elderly woman pushing the shopping cart and the woman on the opposite crosswalk pushing the baby stroller - those are the circle or cycle of life that you are showing us. I think this image would have a stronger impact if you crop it to show just those two (three as that there is a baby present) in the 'crosswalks' of life. The man, the car, and the young woman on the right tend to distract attention away from your main subjects/message. I also think that for this shot full color is distracting and that B&W would draw the eye's attention more readily to the people in the shot. I do like how you captured the moment showing the elderly woman crossing the road (symbol of life's path) in the forefront with youth literally and figuratively behind her (the woman pushing the stroller). Also interesting is the juxtaposition of actions here - at each life stage, young and old, they are pushing something.

great catch. I guess composition could be a little stronger if grandma's face was more visible and if the girl was walking diagonally away to complete the circle... but you get what you get :).

Lots of great things to keep the interest. This is a complicated composition, but you managed to keep it all under control very well. bumping.
