Sign of Oldby RgarciaComment by Jutilda: I've never seen this. It is excellent. It's fun to find some old images and bring them back to the forefront. Perfect leading line and the post editing is exquisite. I love the overall aged look of it. I can see why it did so well when you entered it. BRAVO |

Caracaraby RgarciaComment by Rgarcia: Thanks for the comments on this picture. It is a live bird caged with sunlight directly over it, about 3 meters above the ground, so it was a very difficult lighting scenario. |

Caracaraby RgarciaComment by Prism: That's one wicked looking beak! Was it a mounted bird or a live bird? The lighting in this shot has left the eye and the breast of the bird in shadow while blowing out the white feathers on the neck. Don't know if this is something you had control over or not though. A fill flash effect might help to bring out more details in the front of the bird and perhaps a levels adjustment or some spot editting to help with the glare on the white feathers. |

Caracaraby RgarciaComment by Louis: Great capture. I like the black background and the position of its head in the frame. You probably know that the white feathers are a tad blown, and the image may have been improved by sharpening, especially if the eyes could have been more in focus, and more highlighted. Curves may help to bring out the beautiful orange colour around its beak. Otherwise very nice. |

Male Nudeby RgarciaComment by PhotoDrew: rule of poseing, never put your subjects genetalia male or female with the exception of brests infront of their waist unless it is obscured by a limb like an arm or leg |

Too late for "Window Framed"?by RgarciaComment by timfythetoo: Greetings from the Critique Club -
I first just want to say that I am stunned at how nice a pic phones can take. I had no idea.
I think the one thing that does not do good for this shot are the angles of the window frame on top and side. I see that the inside frame is level with the frame of the pic but the outsides just make it a bit off. A slightly tighter crop on the left side may have helped. At least cropping enough to get rid of the texture on the wall next to the window frame.
Outside of that - technically I am not sure what other comments to make as far as improvement. The detail is great on the cat. Maybe a slight up in saturation to bring out the color just a wee bit more and a bit more sharpening on his eyes. All together though you have a good pic of the cat. Anything that I have mentioned as a negative here is purely minor.
It is a good shot overall, yet not as interesting as some of your other shots. This doesn't make me want to stay and gaze at it for while like "Lux Eternae" or "Signs of Old" but it doesnt leave a bad taste either. It's just a nice shot IMO.
I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
