Challenge: Self-Portrait III (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S5100

Aperture: F/8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 4 seconds

I was tempted by the idea of depicting myself using a camera, but not in a traditional way. So I tried a 4 sec. exposure holding my S5000 in front of me for 2 sec. Of the 58 attempts I did (it's really hard to hold steady and have a decent shot with this exposure) this is the best one I could manage.

this is a fascinating image. It looks like a modernist collage.

clever, but I think that you could have put on a shirt. the long exposure adds an interesting touch, that makes this stand out above most of the other camera pictures

Nice concept. Very good job with the exposure time. Maybe the ligth on the ear have a kind of distractor. Congrats.

Definitely different. I do think a shirt version would have impressed me more - no insult intended, it just seems that the subject of the shot is the chest, and I don't think that's what you meant. The camera just hides the face enough to make it confusing, which leaves the chest and arms as the easiest thing to look at. I mean all this constructively; hope I'm not insulting.

Returning for comment. Interesting idea. It seems your intent was to disguise your face; perhaps using different lighting and a tighter crop would have helped. You should feel good about taking a risk.
