Love Potionby TommyMoe21Comment by Jovi: It looks red to me... i had a look at this shot on my LCD monitor at home and wondered if there was a problem with it. So giving you the benefit of a doubt, i'm at work using a normal monitor and it still looks red.. :( so to me this doesn't fit the challenge at all. But overall, good composition. Focus is good but the lighting is a bit dark but maybe that's the effect you wanted? Good effort on your part nevertheless. In all fairness i'm affraid i'll have to give you a 3 on this.. Sorry |

Love Potionby TommyMoe21Comment by AmiYuy: Very, very red. I'm assuming you noticed this because you included "love" in your title and I have never seen that used in conjunction with orange before. I like the use of the black on red though and the combination works well. However the reflection on the glass is distracting. Score: 4 |

Cooking Lightby TommyMoe21Comment by EL-ROI: The top of the plate is well lit. Some fill lighting is needed to light the underside of the plate, in my opinion. I think it would have added some more color which contrasts very nicely with the noodles.
The meal looks scrumptious! Great Job! |

Love Potionby TommyMoe21Comment by jpochard: This looks really red to me, but I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt on the color and call it orange. I do like it. I wish the front of the glass was more clear. It looks like it's frosted or smudged or something. I like the way the mat goes up in the back. |

Cooking Lightby TommyMoe21Comment by moodville: Good vibrant color on the food, which is always important in cooking magazines. The background seems a little close (a dof thing that you may or may not have had control over), and the slice of bread also starts to go OOF and blend in with the background. There also seems to be some noise in the salt/pepper that could be either because of the lighting conditions or an increase in saturation. To eliminate the background problem I would have eliminated the background itself, but of course that may not have looked as good either, hard to know unless it's been tried. A very colorful shot. |
