Also the focus on some of the pieces appears soft. but OK you may not have been able to avoid it. But the it does look a might cluttered and the pieces are covering up some nice shadows.  Perhaps you did not want them in the shot? I wish they were there. |

| Fading consequenceby qwerty_314Comment by Neuferland: I haven't played chess in years so I couldn't even understand the moves here.  The shot is a good idea for this challenge but the finished product is a bit wanting.  On a shot like this I would expect to see clarity, sharpness and more defined light, brightness, contrast.   The angle is nice and DOF isn't bad but the front peices are a bit too fuzzy for my taste.  A 4 |
