The Cement Worksby GilesComment by EL-ROI: I like this shot. It is something that I would see in my neck of the woods in Pennsylvania. Now I know how to shoot such a mundane seen to make it extraordinary. It's all about the environment and waiting for the right weather, lighting, mood, whatever. Thanks for showing such a great vision. |

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my pathby GilesComment by Lydia: "im an atheists this challenge and all the DPC godders offend me "
Not sure how this challenge should offend an atheist any more than an Elvis Song Titles challenge should offend a "classical music only" person, but you're welcome to being offended, of course!
I like the light runs very much... I'm glad you entered even though you were offended. Kudos to you. |

sheltering From the wind by GilesComment by Garry: Quite an interesting image. At first the pinky/purple color cast was distracting, but on second look it's grown on me! Lovely image, would absolutely hate to be the sheep! 8 from me! |

sheltering From the wind by GilesComment by hahn23: Wonderful flock of sheep . I see the big snowdrift to the left... so in effect the stone fence acts as a snow fence. Powerful winds in evidence. I'd like the image a lot more if the horizon tilt were not a distraction. Still, this tells a magnificent story of domestic animal adversity in winter. 7 |

sheltering From the wind by GilesComment by Yandrosxx: Love it. Don't think it needed the off kilter angle. It's dramatic enough without it. I also would have liked to seen it without the vignett, the sheep are strong enough that they really don't need anything to draw your attention to them. For me it, the vignette sort of pulls my eye away from their condition. It's a very nice shot though. |
