could easily see this in a magazine. Very good selective focus and great presentation. No so sure about the very out of focus bowl in the background - something more like an elegant fork or slim stemed glassware would maybe be more appropriate ?

Good control of dof to blur the background. I think this background works better than if you had had a plain background, it has more impact this way. The instruments in the foreground are nicely sharp, and the liquid color is a nice contrast to the blue. The test tube looks a little streaky/dirty, but it was likely your 13th shot or something and it doesnt distract too much. Shooting glass is difficult and you handled light glare very well.
