Meets the challenge, thus it should do better than average in terms of final score.

interesting enough image, doesn't really provoke a strong response either way for me, may because I don't get the reference as never seen the program

I hope this does well, I was planning on doing something like this in red, but with finals approaching I didn't have the time, good luck.

I love how in focus it is and I love the darkness around it. I would have loved to see it in red, but...that's just me.

This has wonderful focus and a very nice DOF. I realize that the top of the image cannot be cropped off without losing her head but it really needs to be darkened down a bit or cloned out. Remember your angles. If you had taken a step to the right or left, what would that have given you? If you had raised the angle of the camera slightly, cropping would have been a non issue. Don't be afraid to shoot down on a woman. Be afraid to shoot up at one looking down on you (it rarely does our faces justice LOL). She does have a couple trees growing out of her shoulder but most people don't care about that. It's really mostly the trees in the head that are the biggest issue. hehe I really like the pose, she looks natural and relaxed and your WB is great. Okay, that's all... shutting up now :)

Ok, have looked at this 3 times. Decided it needs a comment :) hehe

Sun flare behind people is always difficult to handle but I have found a trick I'd like to share because your people are a tad soft. I tried (and failed) more times than I care to mention. You have done much better here than I did on my first 50 tries, soooo, a big ole KUDOS for you there. Okay, on to the trick. :) I have found that if you block the sunlight until your camera focuses and then lock the focus and release the shade, you get a much sharper image with more contrast on the people. Also, use a little bit higher DOF rather than a faster shutter speed to kill some of the ambient light and make your sun/flare pop a bit more without being quite so intrusive/bright on the faces of the folks. One more thing... (I know, shut up already) use either a flash or a reflector to get some of the light back onto the faces of the subjects. He is a tad dark and she is really bright.

Shutting up now, I hope this helps :)
