However, it does look like the lighting on location tends to be warmish in general ==> .

What lovely scene. I'm not sure about the toning - possibly like that in reality from a mixture of pollution and sodium lighting? I rather like the lack of detail, like a painting - pretty sure the is an intentional choice on the part of the author.
