spotfin butterflyfish 2by wkmenComment by seanernet: Pretty fish, great that you have the ability to capture shots like this. I would like to see more detail. Possibly thru better lighting and a macro lens. |

Pumpkin Babyby wkmenComment by seanernet: I like this photo a lot. The only things distracting to me are the blue that is visible under the orange cap and the white sock showing thru the leaves. Other than that, very nice! |

Doe & Fawn, Cades Coveby wkmenComment by cheekymunky: This shot it very cute & i fully appreciate how hard it is to capture a shot of wild animals. The Doe is a bit too centered for my liking & I find the highlights on the grass a bit distracting, but its a really nice photo & i'm guessing there many not have been a opportunity to reposition yourself to achieve a shot from a diffenent angle.
I really think the shadowy trees in background make the shot, they look quite foreboding, a stark contrast to the tranquility represented by the sunbathing deer. |

spotfin butterflyfish 2by wkmenComment by cheekymunky: I like this shot. We are rarely treated to see a fish in such detail. Something I frequently get picked up upon is havening the main object of my photo bang in the centre of the frame, but under the circumstances (i.e. being underwater & photographing fish!) I dont think this really distracts from the shots appeal. I might have used a black border to compliment the stripe on over the fishes eye & of a similar thickness, thats all. |

Hammocks on the Seaby wkmenComment by cheekymunky: This shot is wonderful, very serene, especially the way you have caught the reflections. I like the composition, but i'm not sure if i find the branches/leaves at the top slightly distracting, maybe if there were more of them... or cut then out completely. They look a bit lost especially the big twig on the left. But a Brilliant shot and it definately gains a lot from being in black & white, complementing the shots simplicity. |

Pumpkin Babyby wkmenComment by cheekymunky: I really like this portrait. Definately one to save and print out A2 for her 21st birthday ;)
It is really nicely lit. I'm not sure about the conditions when shooting, but it might have been nice to lower the angle you were shooting at a bit to get less depth of field & make the background go a bit out of focus. |

Hammocks on the Seaby wkmenComment by Skip: i like this shot as it is, and i imagine i would like any number of variations of it. if you want to take a hand a burning it, you might try the following. create an overlay layer filled with a 50% gray. then use a 90px brush at 30% opacity to paint in the areas you want to burn (make sure black is your foreground color though). the 90/30 is a starting point--you can always roll back through your history and try different settings. have fun, and good luck! |
