I think maybe you shot this at a somewhat narrow aperture to give that wonderful starburst at the end of each trail?

The issue I have with this image is all attention to details - there is a red blob at the right hand edge (sensor heat/noise on a Nikon maybe?) and there is a puff of smoke in the trails at the bottom that is pretty darn distracting.

Wow, now that is a sight you don't see everyday! Great capture of these lionesses stalking the herd. They have each others back while facing down the water buffalo who are turned to face the threat. I do have two little suggestions on how the visual impact of the shot can be improved. First, why not go big to the maximum size limits? Details of the lions and the water buffalo would be more visible and appreciated by the eye. Second I'd have the main subject fill the frame more by cropping out much of the ground plain and some off the sides. That way, we the viewers, get closer to the stalking lionesses and feel more involved in the action by being closer rather that further back and remote.
