Lemon/Melonby BarronessComment by pgirish007: in here I would have tried to keep the aperture such that the lemon and melon they bot come out in focus of look and have played around DOF keeping focus point at center placed in the second slide of melon to get the shot. |

NYYby BarronessComment by willem: The light from below makes him look like a gangster. The light and shadows bring out the facial features and lines in a strong way. |

Leaf Trailby BarronessComment by GeneralE: Originally posted by MaryO: Unusual subject for this kind of challenge but it works. Well spotted. |
That was my reaction too -- very nice. |

Lemon/Melonby BarronessComment by bsluijk: I like how you have two anagrams in a single picture. I also like the general composition, but I struggle with the choice of focus and the fact that it seems to be nowhere tack sharp. |

Lemon/Melonby BarronessComment by MaryO: Anagrams of one another; clever. To my eye the focus is on the farthest lemon slice and I prefer either more DOF or a focus on a foreground piece of fruit. |

Pump House Circa 1890 by BarronessComment by glad2badad: Hi Debbi. Hope you don't mind but I took some liberties with your entry and did a little post work on it. I like the building and I think it suits the challenge well, but it seems that your autofocus grabbed the foreground branches, and with the shallower depth of field (at F2.8) the background (subject building) just couldn't quite come thru. Did you select ISO 100 and F2.8 on purpose? I'd think you could go up to at least ISO 400 to go a bit deeper on aperture and still maintain a hand-held shutter speed. ???
Anyway - here's a rough workup I gave it to add a little mood. Quick and dirty, so to speak, using my laptop. I'll pull it if you'd rather not have it posted here.
Take care.
Barry
