Nice shot and spin. It's chancy but like several other previous commenters, I found it worked for me. Your choice of crop also shows a lot of thought went to this image, and I like the composition not being centered, despite the fact that there is a very strong central image point.

I agree that the background perhaps is too muddy and could be "balanced" perhaps with lighter tones.

Congrats on your ribbon this week :)
