Great flower shot! A challenge too early... :-) Works for this one, too, though with such a tight crop, the bokeh doesn't emphasize the flower as much as it could if the crop were a bit wider. That said, this is an excellent shot - the color is very rich and warm without being overly bright or oversaturated; the focus is excellent; and I like the composition. It's not quite the rule of thirds, but for me, the bud on the right of the bloom balances it nicely. |

Sailing towards calmer waterby KelliComment by rinac: What's happened to the bg colours? Is it a filter or bad compression? The composition needs a little more room at the top and less at the bottom for good balance. |

wild flowersby KelliComment by SJCarter: The heavy contrast and color sat work well here. Nice job on the editing and composition. |

Growing Wildby KelliComment by hdogg4u: The contrasting colors are just awesome to look at. Well done. I just dont know how well flower shots are going to do with so many in this challenge. Good Luck. |

End of the worldby KelliComment by Melethia: Trading Post comment
This feels very desolate! Definitely works well in B&W. The color version is kinda cool, too, but this is definitely more suited to the challenge. I like overall composition - can't see anything I'd change on it. Technically I suppose some might want it a bit sharper, but I like it soft - gives it a dreary feel, which is pretty much what I think you were after. Really should have scored higher. |

Stuckby KelliComment by timfythetoo: Trading Post - I scored this a 5. Met the challenge for sure and his expression is funny. The colors seem a bit unnatural on his face and the it seems to be oversharpened as a whole. Maybe it was just the lighting. Caught some cool textures in the rocks but oberall not enough interest to garner a higher score. |
