This is a beautiful shot, and should have done better I think. The only problem is that the bokeh seems rather arbitrary (and scarce), rather than an integral part that enhances the photo.
However, outside of the challenge topic, I love the colours and the focus/DOF is perfect. Whilst the crop is quite tight, this works quite well I believe.
I agree with others that in order to meet the challenge more you needed a wider pov to include more bokeh. |

hello again,
this is a very nic pic of a flower..... but, with the challenge specifically stating bokeh.... i would have liked the crop to include some of that oof background. it is running a tight line of not meeting the challenge. |

I love the color and the focus. Nicely done. Bokeh could have been a larger feature by cropping further out from the flower. Over all, though I think this is one of your better efforts. I would have given this a 6, possibly 7 with more bokeh. |

| Trading Post - Not a bad flower shot, but the crop really pevents the background bokeh to have any impact on the flower itself. Good color and general detail in the flower head. I think if you had pulled back though to see more of the background you would have scored higher. |

Great flower shot! A challenge too early... :-) Works for this one, too, though with such a tight crop, the bokeh doesn't emphasize the flower as much as it could if the crop were a bit wider. That said, this is an excellent shot - the color is very rich and warm without being overly bright or oversaturated; the focus is excellent; and I like the composition. It's not quite the rule of thirds, but for me, the bud on the right of the bloom balances it nicely. |

| The contrasting colors are just awesome to look at. Well done. I just dont know how well flower shots are going to do with so many in this challenge. Good Luck. |

| IMHO this is too tight a crop. Not enough negative space for the "out of focus" background / foreground to enhance the subject. Beautiful tones and tack sharp focus though make this a beautiful shot that you should be proud of. |
