Beta Testby soupComment by skylen: Very clean image! Simple, neat, uncluttered. I like it. I just can't get over how smooth this image is! (I *hate* seeing great images ruined by JPEG artifacts or jaggies or noise or dust specs...)
Excellent job! |

Beta Testby soupComment by beaflies: Beautiful color and contrast. Your glass stem is perfectly in focus but not the betta and parts of the glass like the bottom. Perhaps it may look sharper overall with a smaller f-stop/ less macro effect? There is also a distracting line in the right side of the rim that could have been cloned out. But I'm just being nit-picky because I really like this image so much. 9 |

Beta Testby soupComment by tristalisk: This one made me laugh. Then it struck me hey this ones not only comical but it good as well. Great silhouette work on the Beta. The glass however looks to be a lttle off to me. But still a very nice shot. |

Beta Testby soupComment by saracat: I expect this will do quite well. Beautiful depth of color. Nice clean outline on the fish. Only nit I have to pick is the water level in the glass - don't know if you could have filled it further to get rid of the line just under the rim, though. Fish probably would have splashed it out. |

Beta Testby soupComment by SJCarter: The detail on the goblet is superb, but contrasts a little too much (IMHO) with the lesser crispness & detail of the beta. Fantastic idea & very well done. I would have scored it even higher if the fish's silhouette had been a little clearer. (I know that shooting fish is not exactly like "shooting them in a barrel", so it's extremely difficult to attain as much clarity as you would out of the water. And normally I don't think I'd even notice that it was more out of focus, but the extraordinarily fine detail of the glass - especially the stem, and I think you may have edited the left side, as there's a slight imperfection as the goblet begins to round from the stem -draws my eye to the lesser clarity of the beta.) Sorry, this is a very long, drawn out compliment and humble suggestion - the image is outstanding! (8) |
