I've been wondering why I have never seen a long exposure of a nuke power plant. I was waiting to get one when I go back to the states. (We only have one here, in sydney). This is nicely done, and very well composed. The hazy light on the horizon is perfect. Very nice photo for any challenge (although it might not need the border). 8

I love the reflection of the red lights. I wish the towers were not so soft. Though I couldn't tell you if/how to pull that off.

Great shot Indigo. Probably the best macro shot I've seen in a while. Great composition. Sorry to hear about your Green Ribbon. I feel your pain.

Go team G2!

We've found several snakes under wood in the yard recently. This was the smallest I'd ever seen though. I kept it in a little glass aquarium for a day so that the kids could see it.
I had a really hard time coming up with a way to shoot him. I have some shots of the kids holding him, and he looks tiny even in their hands. It's amazing how fast he is ... I had to drape a laundry basket in black fabric and place it under him. I don't need a baby snake loose in the bedroom!
I have other shots with better composition, but this was the only one where I caught his tongue out. He came out to the edge of the front flower and was reaching toward my camera as if he wanted to say hello.

Macro lens +4, bounced flash, f 2.5, 1/160, ISO 200 (thus the noise in the background), levels adjusted slightly

This is a great shot, I'm glad to see it did well, but I would have handed you the ribbon.
