Wipe-Out by rcrawfordComment by DigiPique: This happened to be the very first image I saw when voting last week and it remained a favorite as I reviewed the others - congratulations on getting 3rd! |

Wipe-Out by rcrawfordComment by rcrawford: Thank you all for the great comments. FYI no humans were injured in the making of this photo. We were on vacation at Lake Mead and as we came up to the dock after a great day on the lake, we saw three teenage boys jumping their bikes off of a homemade ramp into the lake. They were more than happy to let me photograph them. I was just luck to be in the right place at the right time. rcrawford |

Wipe-Out by rcrawfordComment by mcmurma: Very nice air. (From the title you would think he didn't land so good...) Congrats! |

Wipe-Out by rcrawfordComment by GeneralE: This is very dramatic, but I'd feel better if I saw a fully-armored biker. Of course, when discussing motorcycle helmet laws years ago with my dad (a science teacher) he pointed out it was just natural selection -- riders with helmets had a better chance of living to reproduce... I guess you get a "bonus point" for offering up such a "negative" example... |

Wipe-Out by rcrawfordComment by karmat: Great stop action and colors. I think I would wear a shirt, though ('course i'm a female, so that goes without saying). karmat |
