Wonderfully constructed composition with the strong and I think classically referenced (or something I've seen) profile and the conspicuously questioning cat. With the humor, maybe not typical of Ubique but still an unusually memorable shot. 9

Playful surrealism here, a cute, imploring, intense cat grafted onto what looks to be a Renaissance (?) painting. The person in the painting also appears to be intense, so is the cat, according to the thinking of the times, a familiar? The idea is startling and impressive. The two are cleverly blended. The way the face seems to come out of nowhere works beautifully. I may be way off the mark, but I'm happy to explore the possibility. This satisfying image makes us ponder, and I've enjoyed the ride.
