If the hairs on the back of your neck haven't yet told you, let me whisper a warning into your ear... he's up to no good.

It's possible under starlight only (new moon), but you need a *lot* of exposure time.

Fritz thanks for your comment. We had almost full moon. It's impossible to take videos in pitch black conditions and my friend/colleague Fortunato (several times awarded in the most important nature contests in the world) loves to take images during moonlit nights. Even with a super ISO monster like A7SII you need moon in the sky. In this case I was shooting time-lapse and this one was the sequence I shot before taking the photo:

Wonderful shot. I love the rich colours. It's amazing how they can develop out of a night shot! Top 3.

I really love this high contrast image and the texture in the sand is quite dynamic. Bumping up.

Overall, good image. Nice composition, nice exposure.

One thing that is bothering me is the rocks in the background. I'm not sure if this is an artifact of resizing or sharpening, but I see a lot of 90 degree corners, something that nature doesn't provide that much of. If you don't see what I'm seeing, I'm happy to take a screenshot and draw a circle around it.
