Thanks everyone for votes and comments!

This one has been taken on the Isle of Lewis - Outer Hebrides, during a video session (time-lapse). I have been on this beach several times and shot a lot of videos. There is this red river that shapes a surreal path among the textures created by the tides.

The centered composition had no alternatives: I was at 14/15mm. with the 14-24 and I wanted foreground and stars. It surely lacks some dynamics, ma it is tje best I have been able to get at 2am. after a veeeeery long day of shooting :)

Fritz thanks for your comment. We had almost full moon. It's impossible to take videos in pitch black conditions and my friend/colleague Fortunato (several times awarded in the most important nature contests in the world) loves to take images during moonlit nights. Even with a super ISO monster like A7SII you need moon in the sky. In this case I was shooting time-lapse and this one was the sequence I shot before taking the photo:

Wonderful shot. I love the rich colours. It's amazing how they can develop out of a night shot! Top 3.

I really love this high contrast image and the texture in the sand is quite dynamic. Bumping up.

This is my top ranked image in this challenge. I expect this will ribbon. The sand and water detail is fantastic. The stars add a lot, too. If I could change one thing, it would be the location of the horizon line. At middle/center you create a dilemma for the viewer, as to whether to look up or down. Not an easy thing to do, but if you could have included all of this with a horizon line away from dissecting the scene so precisely.

Perfect! Beautiful sky, serene landscape. There is so little in this photo which keeps it minimalist, but what is there has impact. A 10 from me.

That is sublime. Great colors and combination of smooth/sharp.

REally Really love this shot. The one thing that keeps me from scoring it higher is minimilism says to me minimal color, minimal subject matter, mostly negative space and this image is so rich in color. Love this image all around.
