tiredby FourPointXComment by levyj413: I like the idea of framing the distant view through something closer. But in this case, the tire takes up too much of the frame for me. It might have worked better to be sure the tire was straight on, to maximize the image area for the distant parts. Not just because of the challenge, but because that would've brought in more detail from far away, making the image more interesting. Also, if you're going to frame the subject, I think it usually works best not to have "leakage," meaning the areas at the corners where the background shows through. Those bright spots distract me from paying attention to the nice primary scene. All in all, a good effort. I hope my suggestions help you continue to experiment with the technique! |

tiredby FourPointXComment by dali_lama_2k: When I saw this, I didn't think "tire" at all! It looks more like a cameo brooch or 1800's style photo (colorized!). Although slightly overprocessed, that works good if you are trying to convey looking into another world. |
