Great idea/vision well executed. This is one place where P&S cameras shine - very deep DOF.

I gave this a 9. I like the concept of a tire swing matched to a tree off in the distance. I gave -1 due to not having something to tie the two representations together. an old person skipping along in the field or a young child would of made it a 10 for me.

Great shot, Joe. What a perfect way to frame the image. A couple more of these and you'll have a 5+ average!

You're nailing them lately. Might be time for another name change soon.

I like the idea of framing the distant view through something closer. But in this case, the tire takes up too much of the frame for me. It might have worked better to be sure the tire was straight on, to maximize the image area for the distant parts. Not just because of the challenge, but because that would've brought in more detail from far away, making the image more interesting. Also, if you're going to frame the subject, I think it usually works best not to have "leakage," meaning the areas at the corners where the background shows through. Those bright spots distract me from paying attention to the nice primary scene. All in all, a good effort. I hope my suggestions help you continue to experiment with the technique!

When I saw this, I didn't think "tire" at all! It looks more like a cameo brooch or 1800's style photo (colorized!). Although slightly overprocessed, that works good if you are trying to convey looking into another world.

There is a bit of Saturation noise on this one, but otherwise great shot.

A little crop on the corners will be nicer, imho.

I like the image, but I might have tried cropping not quite so tight or coaxing a bit more detail out of the tire. Scratch that. I checked it on another better calibrated monitor and the tires is more obviously a tire.

Nice idea, although a little over-saturated.
