Didn't vote (sorry) ... my observation at this point would be the softness. Looks like missed focus (attempted to get the head in focus but missed). I probably would have given this a 4. Hope that doesn't sound mean. Just being honest.

I gave it a 5, Wendy, so I'm part of the crowd.

I think if the eye and maybe also the beak were really sharp and with a catchlight (even an artificial one)... it would have scored higher.
