Ridge Raysby GeneralEComment by LeeD: Well seen! I love the way the rays seem to pierce the haze. Nice use of negative space. The tilted horizon helps add to the surreal feeling of the image. I particularly like the way the shadow of the trees can be seen in the rays of the sun. The blue seems a bit offish and could possibly use a slight hue adjustment. |

I really like the elements in your photo. The leading line is not as effective as it could be, and the photo is a little flat and lacks contrast. |

Military Superflowerby GeneralEComment by GeneralE: Originally posted by westramp: Thunderbirds' bomb burst, yes? |
Actually, that's the Navy's Blue Angels team, in San Francisco for Fleet Week celebrations.
I had to turn quickly while walking to capture this formation, with the older camera at a wide-angle setting -- I actually cropped out a lot more flared sky from the upper-left.
I don't know why I didn't adjust the tilt more ... I was kind of out of time as I think this was shot the day of the deadline.
Thanks for all the comments -- some of them suggest some possible additional editing. |
