Paul! You have snow - major bonus. And a butterfly bridge! And gorgeous trees! You do NOT live in an ugly place at all! LOL I love this shot, it has a very film noire like feel to it. The only thing that I might have done is to clone out the tracks that look like bike tracks? They detract from the footprints slightly and break the symmetry. IMHO only!

A tad over done on the lighting - it would be much better with a faster shutter speed or a little more deft hand with the aperature. The unfortunate part is the white bloom on the lower bud and poor crop. Even with the white bloom, it would have worked very well without the stem.
