 I love the snow! This was the only snow fall we got last winter and it was very late, Easter in fact. As soon as it started I grabbed the camera and the puppy Pongo for his first snow adventure.

It was blowing a blizard and very difficult to take pics. As I passed the Butterfly Bridge this couple turned and crossed. As you can see they were the first to do so, leaving the lovely footprints.

The best for me is that it isn't cropped, its straight out of the camera. After having it for nearly a year I finally managed to post process it to obtain the result I liked, all thanks to DPC so a fitting entry I feel.

I hope it does ok, a new PB would be nice.

Paul! You have snow - major bonus. And a butterfly bridge! And gorgeous trees! You do NOT live in an ugly place at all! LOL I love this shot, it has a very film noire like feel to it. The only thing that I might have done is to clone out the tracks that look like bike tracks? They detract from the footprints slightly and break the symmetry. IMHO only!

too bad you didn't wait to get the shot of the venus fly bridge snapping shut on its prey. THAT would have been a great case for selective desat.

I think the bridge had too much ice on it - the sides seems to have fallen out a bit. Love the footprints.

Nice bridge and catch of first couple walking on the fresh snow. Too bad about the bicycle tracks, the snow tracks would have looked much better without them.
