Nice take on the challenge with a creative idea. It is well composed and well lit. The slightly blown highlights aren't troublesome here. I think it may have scored even better if the viewer had more of a feeling of interaction with the two people, but the tight crop does show the master's belt well.

A thoroughly confusing and disorienting image. Well done! Okay, so the lines aren't particularly leading. But aside from the challenge, it's like some weird postcard you'd find in a diner 100 miles from the nearest city on a cross-country drive.

The thing about a candid is if your after the subject expression you rarely get to pick the surroundings and think you made the correct descision going with a shallower dof (we can still make out the great roof tiles but they dont detract from the subject imho. The rail is a little dull but guess it goes with her frame of mind. Nice spot and think B&W lends itself to her mood more than a colour shot might.
