Max 1by PaulComment by SandyP: I quite like it too. Something about it looks kind of vintage to me. Like you could be looking at a portrait from another era. I love how you have mixed softness with contrast to really bring out those dramatic eyes. Yes, the narrow depth of field is awesome here.

I think it only really works where an image already has high contrast that is 'working' for you. My favourite image where I used that filter is this one:

I don't think I've ever been able to pull off using that filter where it looked good like this. Here, it looks very much like it belongs and just naturally fits with the look you went for. She's very pretty too by the way. This could be a book cover :)
