June sunsetby mariucaComment: This is very cleverly executed - I'm just wondering where the reflection comes from... maybe an open window.
The warm colours are lovely, actually the wide range of colours on the very left building's windows is awesome |

... When Summer Clothes Need Ironingby PenelopeKComment: I have to admit that I didn't understand the expression Pet Peeves and therefore didn't enter.
Only after watching all the entries I got it. And it's funny that you're not fond of ironing since this is no favourite of mine also. The backlight makes a fine picture! I'm not sure about the "impressionist" pp |

Main Courseby LydiaComment: It looks soooo delicious!
Buying crablegs at the grocery store isn't that easy here... at least it is quite expensive.
I've never tried crablegs before but I'd love to - and drink a glass of white wine, which also looks equally inviting in your picture |

Read the Chiquitaby LydiaComment: I remembered that I recognized him as the guitar player when I was voting but that didn't bother me at all. It is perfectly valid to use a good picture that was created for a certain challenge in a Free Study. I can't understand why anybody should give a 2, 3 or 4... oh well - we'll never know...
I rated this picture a 7 but I would have given an 8, if the shadows under his feet weren't somewhat harsh.
And I have to tell you a funny story as an aside:
When I was voting on the miniworld (your son playing guitar) our daughter was looking over my shoulder. When she saw you son she said: Well, if this handsome guy asked me for a date I certainly wouldn't decline!!! |

Cactaceaeby BeetleComment: I couldn't imagne how lovely cacti can look in b&w until I saw you picture. But when thinking of landscape I'm thinking of a bigger scene with sky also, so probably I wound have given you a 6 for this picture (somehow I missed voting) |

HMQS Gayundahby BeetleComment: For me this is indeed a silhouette, perfectly set back from the light sky. I also like the lights on the distant shore which look like pearls on a string.
The most appalling feature of this picture for me is the bright rim at the upper border of the wreck, which seems to result from the pp. |

Entertaining and educating touristsby BeetleComment: I remember that I already wanted to make a comment during voting but somehow I must have missed it...
Considering the circumstances you did a great job!
If it wasn't for your title, I would have wondered what on earth they were doing - a picture where you can spent some time exploring all the details, the child in the backbround, the vegetation, the clothing, the fruit skin on the ground, the young man's hairdo, even the chief's bare feet are interesting. Thank you for showing all this to us!
