Skyby GermaineComment: Lovely colours and textures in the old building. I didn't immediately realize that those were people on the roof. |

Pagesby JutildaComment: This is very evocative. Not being able to read the writing - what language is that? makes it all the more so. The script is beautiful. I need to find out more about manuscript brush. |

Whatever 07by KenComment: I have to admire all you Northern Hemisphere people getting out in the freezing cold to get stuff like this. Great treatment of the photo. |

Spiderman 's Mission Was To Seize The Giant's Eggsack...by jomariComment: I didn't get to fill out photographer's comments because if I had done ANYTHING extra I would not have got it in. I was submitting at the last moment and instead of seeing my submission, I saw the entries come up for voting. I thought I was too late, but there at the bottom of everything was my submission.
The spider is an Australian huntsmsn spider. It is on the face of a step. Its shadow is different from those of Spiderman and the ball because the spider is on a vertical surface and they are on flat ground. I had a box on either side of the setup, glass over the top and cling wrap over the front. I used a slim stick to herd the spider to where I wanted it. I went inside for something, came back and found the spider had escaped, so that was the end of that. Unfortunately my sister will no longer be able to visit my site because she has acute arachnophobia.
Processing was minimal. usm, brightness/contrast, border, resize, save to web. |
