little oneby jmritzComment: The bird almost looks like an oil painting. This might've been from a lot of sharpening or something but it looks good. Would've liked to have seen him in colour too but at the same time, if he's a common sparrow like I think he might be, his brown colouring might not have brought much oomph to the photo. I like the centering. |

Mildlifeby bauerfan71Comment: I love ladybird shots, the focus is really good on her and the DOF is spot on. The selective desat is really effective. |

squirrelby JulieGComment: I love this shot. The post processing looks great and the wee guy almost looks like he's standing begging for a nut. At first I wondered if he was a stuffed squirrel, as this would be a pretty damn difficult shot to get otherwise but his eyes look real. Very cute either way and great focus/sharpness on his face. |

What ARE You Looking At?by karmatComment: I might have liked this a wee bit more if it were rotated slightly. It's quite a pleasant, comical shot, along with the title. Very cute and the crop is good. I like that the background is blown out, makes his tan colours stand out more. |

Little Big Hornby Len ScapComment: Interesting effect but I think I'd have prefered it without that warped look. As it is, the composition is good and those bursts of red dotted around really add something extra to this. I'm not exactly sure what kind of goat/deer this is but it sure is cute. |

Wild Alaskan Musk Oxby AKPhotoGalComment: I don't think I've ever seen one of these before. He looks like he's wearing a helmet! I love that he's centred amongst those lovely coloured plants. |

Dinner on the Lakeby briandsdComment: I love the silhouette look, it's still clear enough to see what it is but it allows for more attention to be paid to the beautiful colours on the water. |

Up Close and Personalby fantomfotoComment: This is a beautiful shot of a very handsome tiger, the focus is good and I love the close crop. I don't feel the green adds much to the shot, personally I'd rather have seen him in his proper orange glory. Some green patchiness has leaked into his eyes too, which spoils them a bit. I wonder if you upped the green to hide reflections if he was shot behind glass? Still, if this is a glass shot, it's a very well done one. |
