I think all of these probably would've fared pretty well in the challenge, to be honest. This one is nice because it has more of a candid feel to it.

Excellent photo- This is a slightly different take on the infamous blurred car light photos in that your road has nice changes in elevation and photogenic curves, mountains, and a great moon to help strengthen it. Nice job.

It's a bummer you got so hosed on the voting for this one. Very interesting visually, and does an amazing job of approximating the appearance of ridgelines repeating into the distance.

Very nicely chosen path for this type of shot. The idea is a bit typical, but you've separated yourself with an immaculately covered walkway. Nice locale scouting, and you've even got nice vanishing points. You also did a good job not oversaturating your foliage, which many other entries have tended towards.

I'm going to assume (I may be wrong) that you planted (har har) this leaf here, but I like the idea. Maybe increasing the contrast and making the trees darker would add some impact here, but good idea nonetheless.

For this, I would have preferred a deeper DoF and a bit less closely cropped into the leaf.
I very much like the leaf you've selected- great variety of colors and texture, and being able to see the tension on the water surface is very interesting.

Great use of DoF here. It seems lik things should be a little bit sharper, but I like it.

I really like the variegated leaves here. Nice variety of colors as well, ranging from indigo to yellow and orange. You've also got a few different patterns on the leaves too.

There appears to be some lensflare that doesn't help the composition here. The coloration and contrast of the foliage looks a bit flat as well. Adding more pop would've made the foliage fit more with the color and definition of the sky/buildings.

I can't decide if I like or dislike the defocus on this one hmmmmmmmmmmm
Subject matter is pleasing but somewhat cliche/typical.
