Good Night, Sleep Tightby debitiptonComment: This, of course, is a wonderful and emotive portrait. My thoughts are to be aware of the negative space. This shot has maybe a little too much at the top of the photo, and as the arm sort of leads you that way, you don't want too much space to get lost in.
What I like is that you realize that a portrait doesn't *have* to focus on the face! You've focused on the area that is relevant to you, and show a part of the baby that sometimes gets missed, and will be wonderful to look back on in the years to come.
Another thought is to maybe put this shot in a landscape orientation as well.. That would help build the relationship to the proneness of the body, and give the hand a way to become more a focus, being perpendicular to the orientation of the photo.
Great control over technicals IMO.. and a shot to be proud of. |

Shipwreck (infrared) by marboComment: Weird placing.. as far as I know, boats are far from obsolete... broken ones may not *work*... but.
Ah well.. nice shot anyway. |

"Singin' in the Rain."by parrotheadComment: Quite frankly, this is the most atrocious scoring on a challenge photo I have practically ever seen.
I just don't get it these days. |

The Emerald Cityby wetlandComment: Going through and commenting on all my 5 votes, as I find this type of photo usually receives the least amount.
Looks like pewter models of some sort.. and I like the effect, but the image itself is just a little too plain (and off-kilter), for me to score it any higher. |

This is some good saturation and hue work.. but in all honesty, it still looks like it's a part of *this* world. (And the darkened unsaturated background really distracts), only hit by someone with a few cans of spray paint. |
