In a world of his ownby dr3amzComment: Originally posted by emorgan49: why not crop off some of the left? A centered subject is less dynamic than an off center one. I personally see this as being off-centered.. although closer to centered than not, but I like the spacing. Also, with the title, I'm not sure that I'm interested in where he's been, *or* where he's going, but instead.. where he *is*. Surrounded by vastness, alone, with time and endless decisions all around him.
This is why I like photographs like these.. so open to individual interpretation. :) |

I can guarantee that just about every shot you've ever entered was probably done at some point by someone else at some time too.. This is such a different shot than ericlimons.. that to compare them is slightly ridiculous. Different composition, different colors, different lighting.. so the basic idea is the same.. wow, someone call the plagiarist police. What *is* truly different in the world today? I respect that you personally don't feel that it's a wow inducing photograph, but there was no need to lessen this shot by comparing it to another, and pointing it out in a negative way.
Great shot Falc.. and sorry to "hijack".. but some things just irk me ;) Message edited by author 2005-07-11 14:18:02. |

Out of the Darkby arnitComment: Definitely worth of a ribbon IMHO, this was the only macro shout that jumped out and screamed at me.
You're becoming quite the force. |

Holding On for His Sakeby karmatComment: Being a child of divorced parents, I can safely say that your title is going to cause a little bit of uproar with certain people. Doing just that can often harm the children of a failing marriage more than accepting that it won't work... but then, sometimes not giving in and really working at it can benefit in the end too. I certainly hope the latter applies here. A touching shot, slightly over-exposed, but rare on this sheepdom we call DPC. Refreshing. |

Busyby aboutimageComment: Gorgeous close up.. look at those lashes! Not the strongest on the "family" theme, for my tastes, but a beautiful capture. |

best man and best dadby tomzinhoComment: Looks like a little motion blur here. You might want to think about upping the shutter speed (which would have helped with the over-exposure problems as well). Despite the flaws, it's a very touching candid portraiture. |
