Rivulets of Lightby mocabelaComment: The tear in the leaf does more distracting for me than it does add to the over all composition. I love the texture, but the lighiting is a little off (The shadow on the right side is a little confusing.) Nice idea, but just those couple little things keep this from a higher score. |

Enlightened Drinkingby jimikaComment: I love the use of the primary colors here. The background you chose however, in my opinion, is a little strong and tends to wash out the effect you were going for. I think maybe a whiter background would have really clarified this shot and given it the "wow" factor it could have used. Still, it's a great idea, very nicely composed, and nicely lit. |

Framed In Woodby LisaCanComment: :) Sorry, my original comment on this was a little lacking :)
I still do find this shot very crazy. Whoever stacked that wood... haha..
Anyway, congrats on a good finish.. 34th out of 300 photographs is quite an achievement! I thought this was a very clever take on the challenge, and scored it a 7 :) I thought the color was a bit off (a bit too far in the yellow), and I was wondering if an element in the window wouldn't have helped some (some kind of light maybe.. a ghost of a face?)
Just some things to think about.
Good going :) |

Lemon Limeby ScantyNebulaComment: Very nice studio shot, and a good choice for the challenge. The green background complements the picture nicely, and the fact that it was captured mid-pour is a creative touch on a static image. I see just a small flaw in the lighting on the lemon, washing out the rind a touch, but nothing serious. |

Anatomy Ablazeby RoosterComment: I sure hope speed voting doesn't hurt you on this.. it's a wonderful idea! I'm thniking that maybe a tighter crop (but not a lot tighter) would have helped, and the composition could have been a little more centered, but full marks for creativity :) |

Concernedby pitsamanComment: I like the expression on his face, but would have liked to have seen a little more light in the eyes. A small reflector perhaps? His expression is wonderful.. sorrowful.. you wonder what he's thinking, and what's transpired in his life. |

Burnished Goldby Edison_WattsComment: Why Can't I get wasps to sit still for *me*? I think the light is just a touch too bright. Playing with the aperature could have helped, as the wings have lost some structure, but it's a very nice shot to look at. The colors are great. |

Leaf Lightby DmaskezeComment: I feel the lighting is just a little too washed out. Maybe close down the aperature a touch and/or speed up the shutter. I'd also have tried an angle to get more light towards the center of the leaf, and maybe zoom out a touch. |

through the orangeby _wu_Comment: A wonderful shot. I feel it's lacking in a little clarity, and you'll probably get dinged for that a bit as the voting goes on. I'm wondering if maybe there isn't a little *too* much negative space however. |

lost in her eyesby sixmacsComment: I feel the light is just a little *too* bright. The idea is wonderful, but the wash-out just distracts me too much, and there's just not enough contrast in the model. |
