I took this while taking some captures of the sun setting.... turned the yellow up a bit and used unsharp mask, cropped for content.

this hornet is alive... he seemed a little sedated though, kept on following the camera lense along the rail... I got a bunch of shots of him facing the camera chasing after me.

Is this bee dead???? No fair!! You should be out there chasing the live ones with the rest of us! ;-) But I do love the colors, the sharpness, and the use of negative and positive space in the composition. You should place well.

Yikes. Awesome photo. Looks honey colored. Is it a honey bee? Or wasp? Very pretty.

Why Can't I get wasps to sit still for *me*? I think the light is just a touch too bright. Playing with the aperature could have helped, as the wings have lost some structure, but it's a very nice shot to look at. The colors are great.
