This one's mine!by dwterryComment: The selective desat here is overdone. Perhaps if it was just on the ball, but doing the whole player really doesn't work for me. Also, it's a little *too* smooth (not insuating that you smoothed it artifically, just saying what I see) for me.. with B&W action shots, texture can play a really important part. |

The Hustleby flip89Comment: Good dynamics here.. The players remain recognizable, as well as what they are doing, and you get a good sense of abstract as well. I'd have also loved to have seen a shot with maybe only 3 of the players.. (or even two), with some larger dimensions.. something approaching 640x500 maybe. |

Spinning Globeby MaineNeffComment: Great idea.. I don't know what kind of camera you're using, but If you have a hotshoe on the thing, I'd certainly try and invest in a bounceable flash, or try and find a good diffusion method.. (stretched shirt, tissues, nylon, whatever).. as those two hotspots really glare out. Of course.. had you found a way to add a *mouth* too... and sell the "eyes" effect..
hehe. |

Perfect Strike!by NitinComment: Not sure if it's intentional or not, but the pins in the artwork above the strike add some wonderful dynamic to this shot. Would that it was sharper... |

Thrustby aznymComment: Awesome. Nice timing, and the expression on the thrower is fantastic. You've done a great job with the sepia toning as well. |

Masterby wardsworldComment: I don't see how this could *possibly* not win.. or at the very least ribbon. *sigh*. Damn you for being in Augusta. |

Do you see the reasons "Y" I love "D"?by rainbowdykeComment: This could have been a fantastic shot, however, the color balance is a little off, the focus, while I think it may have been intentional, doesn't help for me, and the noise, which would be a real bonus in a sepia or B&W, also distracts a little too much.
I'm not a proponent of technical perfection by any means, but this shot begs for a clearer, smoother look, with a little less saturation. |

Alien Vs. Duckinatorby ArtysteComment: Hehehe.. I'm glad a lot of people found this as funny and creative as I did.
As for that unidentifiable brown thing in the foreground? It's supposed to be some sort of "rock bowl" to hold the water in.. but the water turned out to be invisible in it *ANYWAY*.. but it's there.
*le sigh*.. I couldn't find *anything* else around the house that made a better prop.. |
