| 07/30/2002 11:18:00 AM | Reflecting On Faith Lostby jmattysComment: Not a comment directed at you in particular, but the weak puns are starting to grate, oh well on to the next, no doubt it'll be money going down a plughole, or something about bulls. Oh, and the picture looks a bit 'squinty'. Maybe a polaroid filter would get rid if the brightness, and help penetrate the NASDAQ sign. Maybe a vertical frame and stepping to the left a bit would help isolate the active elements in the picture (The sign and the relected church) from the other bits, like the the traffic and the other buildings. |
| 07/30/2002 11:36:00 AM | Starbucksby chariotComment: A vertical format would emphasise the giantness of the cup (and thus starbucks) as well as cut out the green chair in the bottom left. You need to decide if you want the straw in or out of the cup as it leads the eye out of the picture. |

| 07/30/2002 11:33:00 AM | Foreign Flagby cthenkComment: Needs to make more of the 'made in' label, perhaps by ironing it flat, and using a diagonal framing, cropping about 1/3 of the flag. |
| 07/30/2002 11:49:00 AM | Laid off.by myqylComment: Its a good subject, but needs some added elements to drive things home. Perhaps the red hands could have an 'I love you daddy' in childs writing. Maybe replace the small framed pictures with a family portrait at A4 size just to make it clear that there is a family in trouble out there today. You could add an unfinised todo list. The framed circuit board needs to be a part of the bit and peices of the life thats ended rather than the focus. A newspaper with awful headlines could help too. Try a vertical frame to eliminate the cubicle door and show the other empty cubicles. I like the missing PC. Im afraid this looks a bit rushed in some ways. Erm, was someone standing over you whilst you did this? I get the feeling this may have been a real sacking. |
| 07/29/2002 08:30:00 AM | Got Money?by MeggieComment: Needs to be level, and needs everything in focus. Go back and try again, but this time stand the camera on a couple of books, and use a longer exposure. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 07/30/2002 11:30:00 AM | untitledby darylbrownComment: A pretty average shot of a building, ruined by traffic lights intruding into the frame. You need to find and angle where they dont intrude, or an angle where they become a proper part of the picture, maybe via a long exposure at dusk, or underlining the carved words. |
