you over sharpened too much or started with too small an original. Between the sharpening and the flash she looks pasted in. This would have been an interesting shot during the advertising challenge.

I love lightening shots and I know how especially hard they are to pull off with a digital camera.

And someone told me that wal-mart greeter was an unstressful job. This guy has it covered, at least in the summer. The only detraction I have is that its slightly rotated to the left. Make sure that the camera in addition tot he tripod is level.

An outtake for the shadow contest? Nice depth of field, and focus. I like how she appears to be point at the shadow on the building.

A sick part of me wants to start pushing him down the street. I think its a great photo. Especially with the yellow hydrant, post and the orange cart. It brings out how out of luck that guy is. one of my 10's

Its a bit hazy for a good long distance photo. I had that problem almost all week too. Got a good city picture and then decided not to use it.

a bit jagged on the straight edges. The conversion to B&W makes it stand out more than it would in color. Maybe try to get in closer, or maybe an add on lens for zoom. I do like the lighting though some may not. also looks like you have a minor ammount of shake which was hilighted in the B&W conversion. tripod?
