StarStruckby ScantyNebulaComment: There are some nice reflections going on here and the star is a good colour. It just lacks interest for me and the central position of the star doesn't help either. |

Pink flower with raindropsby zookoffComment: If you're gong to attempt a macro like this then a tripod is essential (or at least a steady hand). I won't say the obvious line, but next time it would be worth taking a bit more time to find a way to steady the camera. |

snowby DieHappyComment: I'm sorry to have to state the bleedin' obvious but this is too blue for me. The effect of colour seems to have replaced a strong subject.
I see snow, and therefore water, but the scene is too indistinct and uninteresting. It lacks a focal point, so getting low down with some branches or foreground in the frame would help to add dimension. |

water waterby jbruno1397Comment: Flash has killed definition in the water and the subject has all but dissappeared. Focus is quite soft too, so manual would be the way to go if you have the feature. Strong light would be another requirement in order to 'freeze' the water successfully. |

A Good Start...by deemerComment: ... but a bad finish! Just kidding.
DOF is quite narrow on this which I find a bit distracting. You could have got closer to this if you're not interested in focusing on the surrounding snow, as there is a fair bit of 'dead zone' around the subject. Moving around the icicle to get some directional light would have yielded more form in the ice rather than backlighting it. |

Water Funby AshezzComment: Fun for you maybe but this is tough o the eyes! ;)
It's quite out of focus this, and lacks a strong concept. The focal point is missing and there seems to be little attempt to achieve any focused clarity at all. This has nothing to do with the small size of the image which doesn't bother me at all. |

In Aweby jenesisComment: Everything is a bit indistinct in this which is amplified by the sepia effect. The motion would need to be absolutely frozen for this to work, and there's not enough light to allow that to happen. The subject lacks a definite focal point and the point of view is quite ordinary (eye-level). |

Clouds By Nightby marboComment: Very unusual take on the challenge and I really like it. The God rays and the colour are great, but there's just a little too much movement in the stars. What are the lights - Aurora - the Sun?
Some voters may not register the connection with water, so it's a brave submission. [8] |

Mediterranean Sea at Sunsetby AlexysComment: Lovely capture of the frolicking waves - at a great time of day too. The reflection of the sun looks strange though - almost impossible - and actually is a distraction for me which draws the eye away from the lovely detail in the splashes. |

Uniquely Designed By Natureby EddyGComment: Snowflakes always appeal to me. I don't see much benefit in the space around it though so I would have filled the frame more. Good focus and lighting. |
