Party Lineby agrimaceComment: For me this is a visual gag which doesn't really attempt to compete - or appeal to an international audience. You probably don't care though! ; ) |

Foggy Day at the Beachby rileyComment: Very appealing moody shot. There's some strange colour hue going on with a mixture of warm (top left) and cool greys (bottom right), so I don't know if this is the weather condition or your processing.
A little more texture in the shot would be nice - even some grain - and might assist the feeling drizzly, misty moisture in the air. |

Battle Lines by CamComment: Great subject and a nice shot. i always truggle with shots like this though: a great subject - but would it look great anyway? I don't know whether to award many points for creativity here since it's pretty much point and shoot at the amazing scene.
It's clear (over-sharp) and impressive, but in my view it lacks the input of creative flair to make it stunning. Will probably score well though. |

New Autumn Lineby FalcComment: A lovely shot, regardless of the challenge. I do feel that simply featuring a row of something has become rather typical in this one, but I love this image more than most as is contains more detail and multiple facets.
Good point of view and powerful composition. |

Into the Morning Mixby skylenComment: I would have infinitely preferred this shot without the coffee beans. It was dynamic enough and would have had less of a 'set-up' feel. There many implied lines anyway so this is guilding the lily a bit! |

Pine Lineby MorganComment: I obviously see the lines, but I wonder how interesting this shot is aside of the challenge. In my view if you can produce an image that is printable or hangable then you have achieved something more than simply meet the voters' satisfaction. |

Different Stokesby cabaComment: Great observation and nice subtlety in the lines. You did well to pull back, opening the shot to show the rower's solitude. |

Farewell to the Aspens of 2004by photomComment: Now this is more like it - I was beginnning to lose the will to live voting on this challenge!!
Lovely observation and an excellent effort to present an appealing subject as well as meet the brief. The viewpoint and compsoition is great. Image is a touch soft, but I hope you're up near the top with this. |

Brothersby Rando D300Comment: Very nicely observed and a quirky, fun shot an a quite dull challenge. Good focus and compo too. |

Incubation by ArtysteComment: Strength of challenge link: strong
Image critique: Nice lighting and shadows - a little too strong towards the back though - and I think an even spread is important in this kind of shot, which is quite reliant and consistent form and appearance. The DOF is a bit too shallow also, so a longer shutter speed with focus 2/3 back would achieve full focal on all eggs. |
