High viewpoint takes some impact out of this shot. Lighting is a bit dull (midday?) so shooting ealrly or late would help add definition and mood.

Soft Pink

For the challenge I think this has been a little 'shoe-horned' since the pink is forced, via editing, rather than present in the scene. That said, it's a pleasant image and nicely balanced with the off-set composition. The key is good and it does have 'tissue box' appeal.

For me though, it does lack purpose and meaning - something that I like to find in a photo in order for me to hang it or return to it for repeat viewings.

Lovely texture and a good viewpoint. I think the only way to have improved this would be to get a bit more light near the eye area and to get in even closer, edging out any sense of background context.

Thanks muchly for the comments.

The shot was relatively simple, apart from not being able to stay still. I focused on myself with light on, then switched to manual. Then I lay down in the same position, pressed release with remote cable while wafting a colour-changing LED torch to and fro, in and out of my mouth.

Very little post-processing other than a little dodge + burn, some levels adjustment and very slight noise reduction.
