Millenium Bridge, Newcastleby KeysComment: :: Hello from the Critique Club ::
............................................................
For starters you have a dramatic subject. It's a dynamic structure and your angle shows it off well. It's a shame you couldn't have got ther earlier/later to catch some sun glints on the arch which would help separate it from that distracting background. Alternatively, if you were crazy enough you could have taken a powerful torch and 'light-painted' it with that.
The shot is a tad skewed down to the right too, but it's a subtle flaw.
I can't help thinking that perhaps there's a more impressive angle at closer range looking up, but you would have to forsake the footbridge to get all of the arch and vice-versa.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Oregon - We Love Dreamers by MickComment: Silky smooth, seductive shot - well composed, but just slighty over-dodged around figure and rock. Why? It doesn't seem necessary. |

Apple iPodby hstegComment: Well composed, but thisis just not original enough for me. Two points I should mention:
1. the iPod should be on
2. you've gone too far with the silhouette - the real Apple ads have some subtle visible form and aren't completely black
That said, it's probably been a useful exercise for you and it's still pretty. What a touch of genius campaign that is though eh? |

Berlin Wall by PanoComment: Subject: very good and symbolic
Composition: strong main subject, but the person is weak & indistinct in the middle
Editing: don't like this kind of uber-burning. It's not well done I'm afraid and, in my view this contrived treatment is eroding DPC
Well done on your ribbon despite the last point. |

Cyclingby grigrigirlComment: Love the treatment (though there is a blue cast top right) and your lens is interesting. Will come back later & comment further... |

Tulip IIby jenesisComment: Very pleasing use of high-key here. Makes the ordinary look uncommonly interesting, the sign of a good photo. |
