This was so nearly correct, but it did not come together correctly. I think for this shot, with the soft buildings (as Neat pointed out) it would have worked with the other overlay, if you had cropped it right at that moon's edge. It would be soft in real life, a the clouds and rain would dull the edges. You do have the blown out boats on the left hand side, not a lot you can do about that, as it is what it is. But if you had done several exposures you could have stacked a less brighter one with details to replace the ones you have. Or an alternative, if to just crop it out and just have the lower building as your left hand side, then crop the top off to make a more square but cohesive photo. One thing I do is hold my hand up when the photo is on the screen and use that a a crop tool to see if it would look better and when I first started out, I had a piece of cardboard to completly block out portions on teh side , top or bottom. I am sure in no time at all, you will be popping out immaculate images.

I like this, as it is very DPC Clique. Just that glass in extra tiny (like thimble size) against that dinosaur orange, it kinda looks like 4 different shots put together, proportions are not quite right. And the right hand side of the glass is showing, versus the left. But it is a DPC flashback, so 7 from me.

IMO, this would have been so much more dramatic without the city behind it.

NOW I am going to do some assuming and jumping to conclusions here, and I am probably going to offend, which, I promise you I am not, I am going to say what this shot individually say's to me, and only me. But this chap, (to me) has some facial structures that remind me very much of the proud Aboriginals and the skeleton, is clearly a male skeleton, by the brow, nasal and prominent jaw line and depth of chest. To me, this is the first things that I see when I look at this picture. (((((I could be completely wrong (bar the skeleton, that is is correct) please do not be offended)

To me, these are such prominent features, that I would in this Expert editing have done the Uluru Rock on the left hand side and progressed to the cityscape where the skeleton is.

If I have offended in any way, please just message me and I take this comment down.

This is a powerful shot. I know who it is shot by and I know the story behind it. So I am going to be critical as I do not think that molly coddling you is the right thing right now. You have sensor spots or spots on your len's, you need to clean that up, a lot. The white out, is obvious, and I know the keys are meant to hide it, but they don't. The RIP is almost lost in that brown, so making that darker would be better, maybe brightening it a bit would help too with some contrast for the keys.

But it is a very dramatic before and after. It engulfs this challenges description perfectly. If I had no idea, who this was for. IT still would have been perfect photo for this. In my opinion, this is actually the only shot in this whole challenge, that clearly shows before and after, perfection then disintegration, build and tear down. So a 9 for this.

But what would be more interesting, further along in this challenge or something similar came along, is how that became disintegration to rebuild, tear down to perfection, run down to re-live.

Your life, is more than this, more than this disease. Your life is starting a new chapter, an interesting phase. And you are going to capture it in minute detail and we will look upon it.

I am so so proud that you picked up your camera and started this first step after this news.

A little more light, or brightness in PP, and a dip in the contrast would have made this stand out a little more for me. Nice collection though!

I love this shot, and was telling my daughter about it. And then showed her. The first thing she said, was it was fantastic but how she wished the other people where not in it. That was my exact thoughts as well. I know you can not do it for this standard editing, but if you can clone those people out, you will have a shot that would be hung in any dinosaur gallery and people would pay money for it, if this was my shot, i would do it, just so I could hang it on my wall. As it is , it is still a bloody fantastic shot!!
